Reuse vs. Recycle

Reuse is better than recycle due to the fact there is little or no reworking.
The more an item can be reused the more beneficial it is
to the planet and our natural resources.
The way we handle waste streams has a huge impact on
the environment. The basic rule we are taught is,
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, often known as 3R’s.

dispose of – mainly items that are either impossible
or difficult to reuse or recycle.

Reusing also keeps the process materials out of the waste stream and
and preserves the embodied energy that was used to produce the original item.
Re-use creates less or no air and water pollution than making something
new or by recycling. The easiest was to reuse are to hand down clothing
, selling unneeded electrical items, giving to charity.

turned into a new product. Which is reducing raw products & the
materials needed in producing a virgin item. But this still can use raw material
such as water and fuel to complete the process,
it’s just less than creating an original product.
That’s why at ELT is it is our policy to only source
goods that can be reused in their original form.
