With over 70 years’ industry experience, ELT is a company specialising in the recycling of used clothing, shoes and other household items, we offer unrivalled levels of service throughout the UK.

We are able to offer a comprehensive cycle of sorting, grading and selection to fulfil the needs of our customers both in the U.K and abroad. We work hard to deliver a bespoke service that is tailored to meet the needs of every charity partner and customer.

Committed to recycling and green initiatives, we have established comprehensive links with Africa, Europe and Asia to reduce world waste, and help people across the world with affordable good quality clothing.

Our main depot, based within the M25, consists of 3 large warehouses covering 100,000 sq ft, providing full time employment for around 150 staff. In addition, we have 15 satellite collection units, and 45 vehicles with the latest technology which cover the Midlands, East Anglia, and the South of England.

It is estimated that around 300,000 tonnes of clothing ends up in household bins every year with around 80% of this incinerated and 20% sent to landfill[1] 16% of People still dispose of their unwanted clothing by throwing it in the bin[2]. Our recycling collection services provide the opportunities for charities and the general public to dispose of more of its used clothing and household items in an environmentally friendly way, whilst supporting British charitable causes.
